ORDINANCE NO. 97- I94
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR
MAYOR AND COULCILMEMBERS
The Lake Elmo City Council hereby ordains that Section 200.01 Subd. 12 is
hereby added to the City Code to read as follows:
200.01 Subd. 12. Terms of Office.
A. Councilmembers. Two Councilmember's shall be
elected for 4 year terms at each biannual election.
B. Mayor. The Mayor shall be elected for a 4
year term commencing with the regular municipal
elections to be held in 2008. The first 4 year
mayoral term shall commence on January 1, 2009.
ADOPTION DATE: Passed by the Lake Elmo City Council on the 19 day of
SuN e— , 2007.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be effective the day following its publication.
