HomeMy WebLinkAboutFINAL ORDINANCE NO. 97-151CITY OF LAKE ELMO COUNTY OF WASHINGTON STATE OF MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 97-151 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CONFINEMENT OF DOGS The Lake Elmo City Council hereby ordains that Section 1320.025 is added to the City Code to read as follows: 1320.025 Confinement of Does. When a dog owner is at home, a dog, except those classified as potentially dangerous or dangerous dogs, shall be confined to the dog owners property by owner supervision, kennel, physical or invisible fencing, or by a chain securely anchored to a structure or to the ground. Invisible fencing is not a permissible means of confinement if a dog owner is not at home. Potentially dangerous or dangerous dogs shall be confined in a proper enclosure. ADOPTION DATE: Passed by the Lake Elmo City Council on the 15"' day of March, 2005. Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective the day following its publication. Dated: 2005.
