ORDINANCE 8148
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 301.130C. OF THE LAKE ELMO MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO ACCESSORY BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES
Section 1. Amendment: Section 301.130C. Subdivision 4 of the Lake Elmo Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows; to wit:
R-1, RED and OP ZONING DISTRICTS:
Lot Size Structure Size
5,000 sq.ft. to 1 Acre 1200 square feet total for both attached and detached accessory
structures or residential garage; the size of the footprint of the detached
structure shall not exceed the size of the footprint of the primary
structure.
1.1 Acres to 2 Acres 1200 square feet detached residential garage or building may have an
attached garage.
2 Acres or more 1300 square feet detached residential garage or building may have an
attached garage.
RURAL RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS:
Lot Size (Nominal) Structure Size
10 Acres 2000 square feet detached building; house may have an attached
garage.
10.1 Acres to 15 Acres 2500 square feet detached building; house may have an attached
garage.
15.1 Acres to 20 Acres 3000 square feet detached building, house may have an attached
garage.
Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and publication
according to law.
ADOPTION DATE: Passed by the City Council of the C Lake Elmd1he 19th date of
