ORDINANCE 80- 92
AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 502.160, 502.165, AND 502.170
RELATING TO EROSION CONTROL TO THE
LAKE ELMO MUNICIPAL CODE
Section 1. Amendment: Sections 502.160, 502.165 and 502.170 of the
1979 Municipal Code of Lake Elmo are hereby added to the 1979 Municipal
Code of Lake Elmo and shall read as follows:
502.160. Erosion Control: The Valley Branch Watershed Districts
regulations regarding erosion control, sediment control and runoff shall apply to
all construction in the City of Lake Elmo.
Erosion control must be provided on all lots. Silt fence is the
recommended method until grass or sod can be established. Silt fence
installation shall be in accordance with the recommendation for Installation of
Straw and Fabric Filter Barriers for sediment Control, Sherwood and Wyant.
502.165. Compliance with Other Government Permits Required. All
conditions of any permits required or issued by other governmental units in
connection with the development of property, prior to issuance of a building
permit, grAding permit, or any other local permit required for development
purposes, shall be incorporated into the City's permit.
502.170. Failure to Comply. Failure to comply will result in immediate
work stopage until erosion control is established.
Section 2. Effective Date: ThisIrinance shall become effective upon
its passage and publication.
