City of Lake Elmo <br />Washington County, Minnesota <br />Ordinance 81-0 4 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 204.012 <br />OF THE LAKE ELMO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br />THE COMPOSITION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />204,012 <br />Section 1. Amendment Section of the 1979 Municipal Code of Lake Elmo is hereby adopted; <br />to wit <br />204.012 Composition: The Planning Commission shall consist of seven (7) members and two (2) <br />alternate members. Members shall be appointed by the City Council for three year terms so that <br />only one-third (113) of the appointments will expire on December 31 of each year. No member may <br />serve more than two consecutive three-year terms unless the average years of service for all <br />Commission members is less than four years. A member who has served two terms may be <br />reappointed by the City Council after a one year absence. Alternate members shall be appointed to <br />serve until there is a vacancy on the Commission or until they have served three years. The City <br />Council shall designate a first alternate and a second alternate who will become full members in <br />order of appointment and shall complete the unexpired term of the member they succeed. If the <br />position of any alternate becomes vacant, the vacancy shall be filled in the same manner in which <br />the last regular appointment for that position was made. <br />Section 2.
