Present: Mayor Louis Urtel, Trustees- Roy Dornfeld,Lloyd Ebne, and Robert Dennis and Clerk Donald Mehsikomer. Meeting called to order at 7:30PM by Mayor Urtel. Minutes of the September 5ths meeting Lead and approved. Fire Chief Al Henning reported that White Truck had a broken axel. The pumper had blown a head gasket also. Chief Henning also advised that the pumper was in need of tires. Authoriza- tion was given to have four tires recapped. Committee reports: Recreation, Roy dornfeld reparted that Ben Lohmann has been hired to paint the bleachers. A letter was received from the Lake Elmo VFW turning over the playground equipment to the village. Motion by Roy Dornfeld second by Robert Dennis that the equipment be accepted. Motion carried 4- 0. Roy Dornfeld to check on getting the boards installed at the hockey rink. i Streets, Lloyd Ebne to approach Carl Olinger regarding snow- plowing in the village this coming winter. Lloyd Ebne to contact Northern States Power regarding moving the light on Rose street closer to John Heimels on Rose St. Clerk requested to write letter to the Highway department regarding the possibility of a turning lane on Highway 12 and Lake Elmo Road in the East bound lane of traffic. Any repair work on the streets was tabled until after the water had been installed since this would-be covered when the mains are in and the streets reconditioned.
