MI19UTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING June 4, 1968
PresentsBrookman,Abercrombie'Bbne,Goerss and Mehsikomer.
Meeting called to order at 7:30PM by Mayor Brockman.
Letter read and received from the Highway Department that the exit
from. Highway 94 and Lake Elmo Road and also the airport road had been
checked and they agreed that a turnoff should be installed at both
locations and that they expected to let bids so that work could be
started this fall.
Clerk instructed to contact Charles McCoy regarding the problem that
was encountered last winter dtith the water freezeup.
Mayor was advised that the shutoff valve had been located at '.Stay
Anderson's and the problem was that the measurenehts were off by approx
one foot:. It has been brought to the surface for wasy access.
Dove Borman was on xbi hand and advised that he would accept the position
of Chairman of the Sewer Study Committee. He asked questions onpro..
cedures and possible candidates for the committee.
Al Haw ley introduced Jim Eder as a possible part time policeman for
the Village of Lake Elmo. Jim would work on an hourly rate of $2.25.
The tennis court marking and cleaning program was scheduled for Mori -
day night June 10 at 6:OOPM.
Al. E. Ranum,legal counsel for Rod Lawson was on hand and the following
subjects were discussed. 1.The Anderson Building and property.
2.Make-up of the contract for transfer of property between the Village
and Leitte. 3.Status of the annexation of the Ellman addition.
