MEETING OF '.l11B LAKE ELMO VILLAVrE COUNCIL TUESDAY JANUARY 79 1969.
Meeting called to order at 7:15PM by Mayor Brockman.
Present:Brookman, Abererombie,Boorman,.Ebne and Mehsikomer.
'Minutes of the December 4, 1968 meeting read and approved
Mayor brookamn administered. the Oath of Office to Clerk Mehsikomer.
Clerk Mehsikomer administered the Oath of Office to Trustees Borman and
Ebne.
Clerk was instructed to write the Minnesota League of Municipalities. to
get copies of snowmobile legislation so that the village will know what
points to cover in making a new village ordinance.
Wilbur Richert has indicated a desire t.o be dropped from the role of
village snowplowing service. It was discussed and other possibilities
would be contacted but from previous experience it did not look -too en-
couraging. Mr. Richert did say that he would stay on until we got some-
one else so that we would. riot be without snowplowing service this winter
however the plowing would. be done an an as available basis,
Reminder that the matter of pulling the village waterpump should be dis-
cussed at the March meeting..
Trustee Abercrombie reported that he and Clerk Mehsikomer had been in
contact with Lee Richert and that he would be submitting a, proposal for
the hhndling of all services from the village water main to the property
( i.ne. Any other contracting that he would do would be on a personal
oasis with the new water customer,
Clerk instructed to have -the papers run an article on -the need for re-
moving the snow from around the fire hydrants near there homes. It should
be pointed out that the first few minutes of fighting any fire are the
most critical and if the hose cannot be hooked to the hydrant in short
order serious damage could result.

Weed Inspector Brookamn and assistant ROY' LOHMANN.
Plumbing Inspector HENRY PFA.LZ.
Gas Inspector TO BE RESOLVED.
Building Inspector George Siegfried.

Insurance LAKE ELMO INSURANCE AGENCY.
Health DR. VAN MEIERIMEHSIKOMER AND BROOKMAN.
Water Bond PETERSON AND POPOVICH.
Acting Mayor ROBERT BRUCE ABERCROMBIE.
Labor Rate $2.00 / hour.
Motion by Trustee Abercrombie 2nd by Trustee Bbne that the forgoing

Special meeting set up with the Planning Commission -to consider ordinances
that the Village should have in the event that consolidation request is
approved. Meeting set for Monday January 27, 1969 at the village hall
at 7:30PM
Meeting adjourned at 10:20PM.
