Minutes of the Village of Lake Elmo Council Meeting March 9, 1970,
Meeting called to order at 7:0OPM by Mayer Brookman.
Present:Brookman,AbercrombiegFriedrich,.Shervheim,WatsonxPark & Mehaikomer.
C 'Three bids were received for the alteration of the Village Maintenance
Building to) convert the office area into a new Clerks Office.
Mayor Bromkman called for the bids to be opened in alphabetical order.
9.Don Alberg Ri bid agreed to, supply all work and materials
according to the written spec and quoted a price of S4095.00,.
2.Joe Lenz Construction bid agreed to supply labor and all
materials according to epee. He had one question regarding the
outside door and offered an optional bid. To spec $6,193.00
If commercial type aluminum entrance door and frame are 'be be
installed add $$275.00 or a total quote of 9$6,468.00.
3.George Siegried Construction bid agreed to supply all labor
and materials according to spec.. Price quoted. was $5,.927.00,
Motion by Councilman Abercrombie second by Councilman Shervheim that
award be made to Don Alborg on a conditional basis. The two members of
the council that were in charge of the bidding Abercrombie and Shervheim
would review the work with Mr. Alberg to amke sure that bid was correct
and that there was no misunderstanding regarding what was required. If
price remained the same award would be official if not the matter
would revert iaack to the council for action. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Watson Moved that, special use permits be issued for a
5 year term with annual payment. Clerk to set up comeout file to
review all permits in the eleventh month of the fiscal year of the
permit. Second by Councilman Abercrombie and carried Unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45PM.
