Meeting called to order at 6t30 PM by Mayor Jtrookmsn. All present.
Council made aa, tour of the Village to determine the extent to which
the roads had to be taken core of.
Meeting convened in the: Council Oh•-mberea sat 705 ?M.
Minutes of the May 5, 1970 meeting read and approved,
Councilmen Abercrombie introduced the following resolution and moved

( various street improvements for the Village of J,r ke Elmo, Minnesota,

1. That it is adviasouble, expedient aand necessary that the Vi.11pge
of Lake Elmo, Minnesota csrnostruct the: fallowing street improvements
as described in the notice of hearing thereent A. Eagle Point Rood
from TH 212 northernly 0501 B. laUko Shores Drive; C. Qke Jane Drive
northeast of Luke Jane Rood; D. l,a Ice Kno Road from Lake 0lann Drives
evoterly along pre rent alignment for 8,800 fe: t of point just beyond
Lnkm Jane Drive.
2. Said improvements ordered made are hereby designated Street
imi)rovements for 1970:

4. The Village Council hereby ratifies and affirms ell prism
r actions taken by the Village Cofneail in reference to said improvements,
including but not limited to conducting az public hearing thereon.

Councilman Shorvheim moved and Council Friedrich seconded than
motion that the proposal, for the improvement of Eleventh Street be
tabled. 5/0. Councilman Priedrich mad Maintenance Man Richert advised
that the improvement on con blascktopped rode in the Village would
take 2400 yards of gravel and recommended that this be contracted for.

Pemtem advised the, Village to bill them for the installations
and inspections and they would pay the invoice. Treasurer Wm> I:laark
agreed to assist the cleric in preparing invoie e. This invoice to
include gas inspections.
Fran Pott spoke on behalf of the Police Survey Committee. After
his remarksq council suggested further study. It was pointed out
that Woodbury had gone thrg this same phase and it would be helpful
if they were contacted. Oakdale, was anothermunicipality to inter-
view in that they had a series of problems ave don't want to duplicate.
Fran agreed to look into -this further and report back at the
June 16th., meeting.
Legal Counsel, Don Raleigh to write €? letter to Houle & Fischer
regarding gravel pit ., They would have 30 days from receipt of
letter or 30 clays from end of heavy equipment operators strike.
Work to be determined by contact with Villrge Engineer Bonestroo & Assoc.
Engineers to report on 7th. street., should be available for June 2nd.,
meeting.
Procedure to be established whereby only authorized persons are, per-
mitted to take water from hydrant and then only undeO supervision
of Village Employees.
Dog Ordinance will be presented by Don Raleigh at June 2nd., meeting.
Mayor Brookman presented resolution R-70-7
copy attached that Village make application to purchase forfeit land
in Village and moved its adoption. 2nd. Councilman Shervheim.
Carried unanimously.
Councilman ViIstson presented resolution R-70-8 copy attached on the
WONT District Debt payment and moved its adoption, 2nd. by Councilman
Shervheim, Carried Unanimously.
Clerk Authorized to invest surplus water department revenue in
Bank debentures.
