AbsentxFriedrich. ( Also present:Counsel Raleigh,Bldg.Insp.F'riedrich,Pran Pott & D.Lyons of PZC. Motion by O.Watson 2nd by C.Shervheim that the minutes of the May 2, 1972 meeting be approved as submitted. Carried 4-0. Friedrich absent. Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Abercrombie that the minutes of the special meeting on May 811972 be approved as submitted. Carried 4-0. Motion by C.Abercrombie 2nd by C.Shervheim that the bills as submitted be approved for payment. Carried 4-0. Motion by C.Watson 2nd by C.Shervheim that the new proposed plat for Kenridge Addition #2 be approved and approval to accept cash in lieu of land as recreational requirement on new plat. Motion carried 4-0. Council reviewed the plat of Mrs. Crombie. PLC was considering approving only a partial (approx. 20 lots) of the proposed plat. G.Watson advised that he had been requested to plat the complete area.. Council decided to send the plat back to the :PZC with the recommendation that the entire area be approved and zoned to one acre lots (single family urban). The pond is the area for recreational dedication.it was suggested that we determine that there is adequate land around the pond so that it may be used as rearing pond. John Hanner appeared relative to a tax problem. After considerable oonver- sation motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Watson that council Beny request for abatement since we do not have adequate data to make a decision. Further that clerk arrange for county assessor Mary Scheel and the state assessor to review this K with our assessor and have an answer for the council to ,review at a special meeting on Thursday May 25, 1972 at. 7:OOPM in the Vaal. Hall. Carried. 4-0. James Mottaz 1574 Kelvin Ave.N. appeared at the request of the council relative to a garage that he had moved on his property without a permit. Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Watson that matter be delayed until June 20,, and. that building inspector check and see what has to be done to get the building within spec. and have him report back to the council. Carried 4�0. Motion by C.Watson 2nd 'by G.Shervheim that the rates for use of the athletic :field be maintained the same as for 1971. Copy of rates on file in the village office. Carried 4-0. Council asked that the clerk check to determine if a reduced speed zone is possible on Ideal Ave. & on Olson Lake Trail because of the increased useage of this roadway by children using the facilities of Pebble Park. Motion by G.Abercr©mbie 2nd by C..Shervheim that until a more permanent set of regulations can be adopted for sewer hookup that the Village would adopt the regulations of the Village of Woodbury. Carried 4-0 The charge for a recommendation on procedures would be on of the first on the agenda of the newly formed Sewer Advisory Committee. G.Abercrombie offered Resoltion R72- for consideration and asked its approval regulating the parking on Washington County 17 from Hwy 212 to Hwy 12. Second by C.Shervheim Carried 4--0. Since the village alone does not have regulatory powers on County Highways this resolution will be relayed to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration. Motion by C.Abercrombie 2nd by C.Shervheim to approve an expenditure of $200.00 for filing a petition regarding the Town of Baytown. Carried 4-0. MINUTE'S OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING MAY 16,1972 LAKE RLMO, MINN. PG..2 Letter of resignation from the Lake Elmo 'Volunteer Fire Department was received from Ranald Dornfeld. Council reluctantly accepted resignation but left final action at to the fire department. Motion by C. Watson 2nd by 0. Abero3ombie that 0. Shervheim is delegated xxAhx authority to grant a special beer license in conjunction with rental of the athletic field assuming requestor has received required Fed.stamp. Darried4/O/ Motion by O.Shervheim 2nd by C.Abercrombie that meeting adjourn at 10:40PM, Motion carried 4--0. Respectfully submitted Donald Mehsikomer Village Clerk MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE LAKE ELMO VILLAGE COUNCIL May 25,1972. Present:Brookman,Shervheim,}i'riedrich,Watson,AbercrombiepPark & Mehsikomer. Meeting called to order at 7:00PM by Mayor Brookman. Meeting had been legally called to discuss the tax situation as it related to Mr. John Hanner. Letter from Marvis Scheel,.Waashingtan County Assessor, was read relative to conclusions which he made on behalf of his office at the requeat of the Village of Lake Elmo. Local assessors evaluation for land for the 1973 tax year is $38,625. Mr Scheel recommends a figure of $31,875. Motion by C.Abercrombie 2nd by C.Shervheim that the land value for 1972 be changed from $38,.625.00 to 831,875.00 based on the recommendation of the County Assessor Marvis Scheel effective as of the Board of Review June 1, 1972.
