Meeting called to order at 8:20 p.m.
Present: Brookman, Watson, Friedrich, Abercrombie, Shervheim, and Park.
Absent: Mehsikomer
Other present: Bldg. Insp. J. Mueller, Counsel D. Raleigh, and from PZC D. Lyons
Minutes Approval:
Motion by C. Watson seconded by C. Friedrich to approve minutes
of Oct. 16, 1973 as submitted.

G. Thompson:
Mr. Gunderson, resident on Janero Avenue, represented Mrs. G.
Janero Avenue requesting

Thompson and four other property owners on
street lights removal, street upkeep, and if street is a

private road, how to make it a village road. Mayor Brookman
explained that)by petition and assuming improvement assessment,
it could become a village road with upkeep. Village engineer
is directed to estimate cost of such an improvement.
Motion by C. Shervheim, seconded by C. Abercrombie, to place
necessary street lights if counsel can determine that it is legal
to expand public monies on a private street5for0such a cause.
E. Haase
Mr. Haase presented request for building permit to build an oversize
Blvd. No. Council and
Oversized Garage:
garage at his motel site at 7676 Hudson
Bldg. Inspector reviewed plans and layout.
Motion by C. WAtson, seconded by C. Shervheim, to grant permit
if garage is at least 15 feet to thearear of the motel.

Mr. K. Zaffke inquired as to handling of narrow alley way north

M'haha 694 Mayor Brookman noted Hi -way Dept. hearing on purposed interchange
Interchange: to be held 11-8. Resolution R73-35 was read and discussed by
counsel. Council suggested that a cover letter to the resolution
be prepared to cover the discussion of a recent meeting with
Hi -way department in connection with future option of a full
interchange. Counsel to prepare letter.
Northbrooke Clerk read Village Engineer's letter on impact and pollution control
Farms: report as submitted by the developer. Letters of objection by
1 Tri-Lakes Association and adjacent property owners were also NOTE D.
Counsel restated that the registered convenants would be the effective
ones.

C & NW Rail
Letter from C & NW Railroad as to their costs in resetting a grade
Crossing;
crossing in Lake Elmo was noted. Monies have been budgeted and
total cost figure is acceptable to the council also the requested
delay till spring so that work can be co-ordinated with other
rail work by C & NW is acceptable. Clerk is to write letter to
C & NW accepting their bid.
MTC Service
Motion by C. Abercrombie, seconded by C. Shervheim, to approve
to Cimarron:
the rerouting of the MTC Service to include Cimarron.

Snowmobile
Motion by C. Watson, seconded by C. Shervheim, to approve the use
Safety Course;
of the Village Hall by the Lake Elmo Snow Rascals for the purpose
of safety instructions for young people as long as dates do not
conflict with other Village business.

Salt -Sand
Motion by C. Shervheim, seconded by C. Watson, to award the salt
Removal:
sand mixture for the winter of 1973-74 to T.A. Schifsky at
$4.50 per ton FOB their location.

removal stand-by service to Francis Oehlke at $17.50 per hour.

Workshop:
Inspectors authorization for workshop attendence to $145 in place

Mayor Brookman directs the clerk to send copies of all correspondence'
agendas, and minutes to the newly elected officials, Also to
notify each as to any special meeting.
C. Watson directed counsel to investigate possible revisions of
the subdivision code so that all street improvements within a
new development and/or subdivtions would be under job control of
the village by way of the Village engineer,
