July 29, 1975
Special meeting of the Lake Elmo Council held July 29, 1975.
Present - Acting Mayor Abercrombie, Councilman Shervheim, Pott
and Lyons. Also present - Attorney Raleigh and Engineer
Bonestroo.
SURFACE Engineer Bonestroo reported on the emergency surface water control
WATER measures taken to date; his report included a report on the present
CONTROL lake levels (see attached sheets).
KENRIDGE Motion by Lyons, seconded Shervheim authorizing substitution of
ADDITION $1700.00 cash deposit in lieu of mortgage from Joe Lenz to secure
completion of road improvement and park dedication.
Passed 4 - 0
SEAL
COATING Motion by Lyons for passage of Resolution R-75-46, seconded by Pott
to authorize 1975 seal coat project in accordance with the Engineer's
letter of recommendation dated June 24, 1975; ordering preparation of
detailed plans and bids therefor.
Passed 4 - 0
PARK
ACQUISITION
Motion Shervheim, seconded Pott to accept Ed Whitman's counter
offer of $2750.00 per acre for the 10 acre tract of land to be
acquired for park purposes and authorizing acquisition of additional
three-quarters of an acre at the same price through negotiations by
Councilman Shervheim and Attorney Raleigh.
Passed 4 - 0
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES Minutes of the special meeting of July 22, 1975, approved on motion
of Councilman Pott, seconded Shervheim.
Passed 4 - 0.
Meeting adjourned 5:45.

Meeting called to order at 5:15 PM by Acting Mayor Abercrombie.
Present: Councilmen Abercrombie, Shervheim & Pott & Councilwoman Lyons.
Absent: Mayor Eder.
Also present. Counsel Raleigh & Engineer Bonestroo.

control measures taken to date; his report included a report on the present
lake levels ( see attached report)
KENRIDGE ADDITION:Motion by Councilwoman Lyons second by Councilman Shervheim auth-
orizing substitution of $1,700.00 cash deposit in lieu of martgage from Joe
Lenz to secure completion of road improvement and park dedication.
Carried 4-0 Mayor Eder absent..
SEAL COATING:Councilwoman Lyons presented Resolutton°R75-26, second by Councilman
Pott to authorize seal coating for 1975 project in accordance with the
engineer's letter of recommendation dated June 24, 1975 and ordered
preparation of plans and issuance of bids and asked council to approve.
Carried 4-0.
PARK ACQUISITION:Councilman Shervheim presented Resolution R75-27 authorizing
acceptance of the counteroffer of'Mr. Whitman, of $2,750.00 per acre,
for the 10 acre tract of land to be acquired for park purposes and
authorizing acquisition of additional 3/4 of an acre at the same price
through negotiations by Councilman Shervheim and Counsel Raleigh.
Second by Councilman Pott. Carried 4-0.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:Motion by Councilman Pott second by Councilman Shervheim to
approve minutes of the special meeting of the Lake Elmo City Council of
July 22, 1975. Carried 4-0.
Adjournment: Motion by Councilman Pott second by Councilwoman Lyons to adjourn at
5:45 PM. Carried 4-0.
