SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 10, 1986
Acting -Mayor Christ called the special meeting to order at 4:30 in the
City Council Chambers. Present: Mazzara, Dunn, Armstrong, City
Administrator Overby and City Engineer Bohrer. Absent: Morgan
1. Review Bids for part B and Part C of the 201 Program
City Engineer Bohrer reported that on June 4, 1986 Widmer, Inc., of
St. Bonifacius, MN was the lowest responsive responsible bidder for
Part B in the amount of $316,363.90 and recommends a resolution
acknowledging receipt of such bid.
M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong - to adopt Resolution 86-38 acknowledging receipt
of bid for Part B of the 201 Program, and to award such bid in the
amount of $316,363.90 to Widmer, Inc., the lowest responsive
responsible bidder. (Motion carried 4-0).
City Engineer Bohrer reported that on June 4, 1986 Widmer, Inc., of
St. Bonifacius, MN was the lowest responsive responsible bidder for
Part C in the amount of $244,454.00. He recommended a resolution
acknowledging receipt of such bid.
M/S/P Armstrong/Dunn - to adopt Resolution 86-39 acknowledging receipt
of bid in the amount of $244,454.00 for Part C of the 201 Program, and
to award such bid to Widmer, Inc., the lowest responsive responsible
bidder. (Motion carried 4-0).
2. Jon Tauer
City Administrator Overby and Maintenance Foreman Olinger recommended
rehiring Jon Tauer as a summer employee to help in the parks from June
11, 1986 to October 31, 1986 at a rate of $5.00 per hour. Jon had
worked for the City last summer and was a very good employee and can
work without supervision.
M/S/P Dunn/Mazzara - to rehire Jon Tauer to work in the maintenance
department at a rate of $5.00 per hour from June 11, 1986 to October
31, 1986. (Motion carried 4-0).
M/S/P Armstrong/Mazzara - to adjourn the special meeting at 4:50 p.m.
(Motion carried 4-0).
Since we do not have time to discuss every point presented, it may
seem that decisions are preconceived. However, background
information is provided for the City Council on each agenda item in
advance from City Staff and appointed Commissions; and decisions are
based on this information and past experiences. In addition, some
items may also have been discussed at previous Council meetings. If
you are aware of information that hasn't been discussed, please fill
out a "Request to Appear Before the City Council" slip; or, if you
came late, raise your hand to be recognized. Comments that are
pertinent are appreciated. Items requiring excessive time may be
continued to another meeting.

4:30 p.m.
The purpose of this special meeting is to allow the City Council
to receive the bids on Parts B and C of the 201 Program.
The City Council will hear a report by the City Engineer,
including a .recommendation to forward the bids to the Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency. The MPCA has up to 90 days to conduct
their review and approval of the low bidder on the project.
