MINUTES APPROVED: 11-1-94 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 18, 1994 <br />6:00 P.M. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Chuck Dayton regarding Olson Lake Estates <br />(Review of Plan Amendment by BOWSER) <br />Mayor John called the council meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers <br />PRESENT: Mottaz, Conlin, John, Johnson, Johnston, City Engineer Bohrer, City <br />Attorney Filla and Administrator Kueffner <br />1. AGENDA <br />ADD: 4B. Mary Hauser, County Commissioner <br />M/S/P Conlin/Johnson - to approve the October 18, 1994 City Council agenda as <br />amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: October 4, 1994 <br />M/S/P Conlin/Johnson - to table the October 4, 1994 council minutes until the <br />November 1,1994 city council meeting. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P John/Mottaz - to approve the October 18, 1994 claims #3136 through #3175 as <br />presented. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />4. INFORMATIONAL: <br />A. John A. Franzen, Candidate for County Commissioner District 2, introduced <br />himself as the Washington County Recorder for the past 16 years and gave his <br />background and reasons why he is running for County Commissioner. <br />B. Mary Hauser, Candidate for County Commissioner District 2, introduced herself <br />as the current chair of the Washington County Board and presented the key issues <br />facing Washington County. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS: <br />A. Update on proposed Annexation Legislation <br />Administrator Kueffner reported she is working with Ellen Sampson, Pam Steckman <br />and Peter Backman on proposed annexation legislation. She is checking on the <br />background of the 1985 legislation that affords property owners the right to petition for <br />detachment and concurrent annexation from one city to another. <br />
