Lauren Greenberg owns a one acre lot in Tabli'n. Park with i13° front
width, 120' rear width and some 400 feet deep, purchased on December 10,
1956, Mr„ Greenberg wants to sell the lot to Jerry Walters,. who was also
present, There is an adjacent vacant lot but the area 1.13 built up on both
sides beyond that. The planning group was opposed to -ermitting building
on this lot, M. Greenberg had not yet contacted any of -the other neighbor
to see whether any would buy his lot,
The .Northern States Power industrial Development Department was
:represented by Iviarti.n Poland (NSP, 15 So, 5th Street,, Minneapolis, 2,
fe 8-7792 Ext 445). NSP formed its Industrial Development Department
about five years ago., Other local banks, railroads, ete, are also doing
this. Eliorts to attract industry is not restriccted to our area„ and other
cities? states and countries are also doing this,
NSP has held various communities prepare booklets advertising their
part",cular opportunities for industry. and will help us draw one up also.
He left with us a "Cornmunity Fact Survey" que '.tioraire to serve as a
basis for such a [booklet advertising East Oakdale, The Brochure Comrnittwr'i'
will have Don Paulson„ David Loos and Bill Hutchinson as members..
