Property on Olson Lake Road. question discussed as to notification of
property owner (Pessi.g7) complying with ordinance concerning'minimum
lot size to obtain building permit. Letter to be drafted to notify
him and other property holders.
:i'ablyn Park. Same question. Referred to May meeting at which time
plats will bo available to study problem.
Minimum square footage for now houses discussed. Increase to 1200 sq, ft.
proposed. 'Discussed and tabled.. Suggost comparison with surrounding
community requirements.
Enforcement of ordinances. Rod Lawson preparing information on exact
proeeedure to follow. ?discuss further at May meeting. Agreement that
action must be taken on several violations or else1
Suggestion by Mattin Eberhard that plats be recorded wherever possible
to eliminate leaps & bounds descriptions.

Dear Mr. Lundquist:
This is in answer to your letter of April 11, 1963, in which you
mentioned that sewage treatment facilities consisting of a special type
drain field for the proposed Guardian Angels school in East Oakdale
Township has been approved by this Department. In our letter of
February 19, to the East Oakdale Town Board we stated, the soil
absorption system is not considered a satisfactory means of final
disposal of sewage for an installation of this size, and therefore
will not be approved. We also suggested in this letter that a
mechanical type sewage treatment plant followed by effluent holding
ponds might be a satisfactory method of treatment. This would depend
on the possibilities of a comprehensive sanitary sewer system to serve
the developed portion of the township.
We appreciate being informed of the progress made in the problem
of an ultimate sewerage system for the township and are pleased that
the township board has realized their responsibility in this matter and
employed an experienced engineer to make a study of a township sewage
disposal system.

Dear Mr. Pesek:
Recently the building inspector called to the attention o the East Oak-
dale Zoning Commission the problem of a Mr. Ross who is located on Olson
Lake Road and who is now in the process of building a house.
Under the existing zoning regulations it was necessary for Mr. Ross to
purchase additional property in order to receive a building permit, and
we have received information to the effect that you too own a lot that
does not meet the building code as far as building a house is concerned.
The Zoning Commission feels that they have an obligation to inform you
of this before it becomes impossible to acquire additional property to
meet the building code. The building code requires that a lot must be
an average of 125 feet in width and contain 18,500 square feet which is
approximately 145 feet deep. From our information your lot is only 100
feet wide and in order to meet the code it would be necessary for you to
acquire an additional 25 feet. It may be well to point out that it is
not a violation of the building code to own a lot which is 100 feet wide;
it merely is impossible to receive a building permit to build a house
on it, so if you were to use this lot for picnic or other purposes, it
would be perfectly within the existing township ordinance.
