A group fron the Eastside of St. Paul appeared before the
Committee relative to leasing with option to purchase, the George
Warner 40 acre tract for the purpose of a rifle range and Gun
Club School. Same to be operated under the Rules of the National
Rifle Association. A sketch was presented, the plan was thoroughly
discussed. The group requested a ten year permit. The possibility
of the Olson Lake Club joining with this group was mentioned.
The Committee recommends a special use permit be granted to
the East Oakdale Gun Club to operate under the regulations of the
National Rifle Association.
Mr. Collopy is n.nixous to secure a buil dizjlg permit by May 18th
for Mr. Fos] ien, a prospective purchaser for a lot on the Eagle
Mint Road. An extensive discussion followed, siiniliar to the
discussion held at our April ]bth meeting, along the line of a
change in the ordit _ ce to take care of the smaller developer. It
was stated that the planning commission was al.visory, in view of the
fact, this was e, very difficult problem, ample time must be given
to study the situatioft and possibly resolve the matter by passing
a guide ordinance.
The Committee was informed that a building permit for a single
dwelling was issued. to Panasow. A: resurvey of his lots was approved
by Town Board.
The Montgomery-Cl so4request for a building permit on lot
facing the Olson Lake Road was discussed. The Committe favored
issuing permit.
The request for a permit for moving a garage to the Bob.
Schi?.tgen farm to be used as a horse shel ter was turned down.
