R. Lambert.
Visitors: Ed Beutel, Mr, & Mrs. Richard Brandt, Owen
Fure, David Herder, Jim Morris, Kenneth Solbe rgo
The first subject discussed was the proposed dog kennel of R. Lambert.
The minutes of November 13, 1968 of the planning commission were read.
The people listed as visitors above opposed the dog kennel proposed because
of concern for the noise nuisance. They said that their only worry was the
noise of barking dogs.
R. Lambert discussed the proposed construction of the kennel and the steps
he would take to control noise.
Carl Dale recommended that special use permits should be used to cover
temporary uses including those where periodic inspection and review was
desirable. All possible factors including building plans should be made
part of the special use permit.
There was a discussion of permitted uses in areas zoned for Limited Industry.
After the discussion it was moved by Leslie, seconded by Lundquist to recom-
mend granting a special use permit for the kennel to the Town Board, Carried
with Evert abstaining,
It was moved and seconded to recommend granting of a special use permit to
Paul Pierson for a house trailer on the farm for son Dave and family, carried.
The reasons for approving this are (1) it is on a farm, (2) Dave is part of
the Pierson family and (3) the duration would be only until the farm is sold.
Some provisions for the Lambert special use permit were drawn up --see the
attached sheet.
Next meeting Wednesday, February 5.
Meeting adjourned.
