Meeting of Monday, December. 28, 1970.
Members present: W. Lundquist, E. Tomljanovich, B. Folz, J. Evert, L. Kirvida
absent: D. Boorman,, T. Torseth, 11. Eder
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved in a motion made by
E. Tomljanovich and seconded by B. Folz.
A. Kamish requested permission to haul dirt from the Paul Pierson farm
(Sw* of IT;?= and !\1C- of SE* of Section 16). Iie plans on removing about
10,000 to 20,000 cnbic yards of fill. A. Kamish can be reached at 14 -1381.
Jacic Evert made a motion recommending issuance of a special use permit
allowing removal of 20,000 cubic yards of dirt contingent on a report from
Otto Boriostroo (Village Engineer) concerning maintaining suitable drainage,
replacement of topsoil and the restoration of the final topography which
would be in harmony with the surrounding area. Seconded by L. Kirvida,
The Ordinances governing dirt removal are Zoning Ord. #10 of Fast Oakdale
and. Page 15 of the Model Code,
The State Conservation Department -Shoreline Management has proposed a
Code on Lakeshore property which suggests a minimum of 2 acres per lot.
The question arises as to its applicability to incorporated areas. We
would appreciate an opinion on this matter from the Village Attorney.
Further discussion was held on the adoption of the State Building Code,
Because of the length and complexity of the Code, it appears as if
responsibility for understanding different portions of the code should be
placed on various individuals.
