Meeting of Tuesday, December 8, 1970.
Meeting opened at 7:44 p.m. by Chairman TATm. Lundquist.
Members present: W. Lundquist, B.Folz, J. Fvert, T. Torseth, L. Kirvida,
D. Boorman, E. Tomljanovich.
absent: M. Eder
Motion by T. Torseth, that the minutes of November 23, 1970 meeting be approved
as written, second by E. Tomljanovich. Carried -- 7 aye.
Others attending discussion of State Uniform Building Code:
Bob Watson, Councilman, Bruce Abercrombie, Councilman, Kelly Brookman, Mayor --
Ben Friedrich, Building inspector, Alfred Schroeder --Consultant, Dept. of Administration
State of Minn. re:State Building
Code.
Bill Schwab, County Planning Coordinator.
Uniform Building Code:
State Building Code was adopted on October 30, 1970.
Items missing in State Code:
1. Permit fees and charges for Inspections.
2. Enforcement ie/inspections.
3. Drawing and plan requests for approval.
Future needs to support State Building Code Adoption.
1. Need centralization of various State Departments, which per'orm
certain inspection activities under one State Department.
2. Need State Legislature supuort in maintaining the State Code up
to date. Also, be in a position to su.rport municipalities with
interpretation of the Code.
Tony Friedrich:
Questions needing attention by property owner---
1. Location of gas line re: East property area.
2. Grade level re: lower level of dwelling.
3. Private road vs. dedicated street.
4. If Condominium approach, how it would operate?
5. Percolation test results, certified by qualified Engineer.
6. Drainage of area.

Moved by B. Folz, second by T. Torseth-- because Mr. Hahn's desire to
begin building as soon as possible, it was suggested that he get all details
prepared and present this to Council pt next meeting, by appointment,
requesting a bujl dank r rmit.

1, a full detailed plan of building location, access, fence and
building description, for approval, subject to specific restrictions
as follows:
side yard set back--10 feet from West boundary
Ordinance back yard set back--30 feet from North boundary
#29 front yard set back-h0 feet from South boundary
Mr. et Mrs. Stockwall appearing in favor of revised proposal subject to a
screening type fence being installed on West lot boundary,
J. Evert moved for adjournment, second by T. Torseth.
