PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
MINUTES 0P THE MEETING 0P MAY 10, 1977
Meeting called to order at 7:50 PM by Chairman Grace.
Roll Call:
Minutes:
Fred King:
Dreher, Lundquist, Grace, Johnson, Novak, Crombie, Cunningham
Council: P. Pott, D. Morgan, D. Lyons, Mayor Armstrong
Motion by Lundquist to approve the minutes of April 25, 1977.
Seconded by Dreher. Motion carried 7-0.
Sewer System Variance.
Mr. King requested to vary the set —back ordinance for a septic system
from 10 feet to five (5) feet.
The variance would be on the east side of his property and would
include a mounding system and a retaining wall.
There is no oonflict with the neighbors, Dexter Ziton and Kirby Kennedy,
from whom he has received written approval.
Dr. Lundquist feels this request fits the needs of a variance.
Motion by Lundquist to recommend approval of a five (5) foot variance
of the septic system and also allow the system to be placed closer
to the road.
Seconded by Cunningham. Motion oarried 7-0.
3M: John Rudquist, Projeot Coordinator for the 3M Co. Project review of
the Oakdale/Lake Elmo Development.
Mr. Rudquist gave a review of the Carlton Park Development Project
beginning May 1974 thru May 1977. The main objective of the company,
at the present time, is the rezoning. 3M has made formal application
for their rezoning. No date has been set as to when this project will
begin.
Administrator: Mr. Larry Whitiker was introduced to the Planning Commission. He is
the navAdministrator for the City of Lake Elmo and the City of
Mahtomedi.
Systems Statement: No further discussion was held.
