MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
MAY 9, 1978
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Grace at 7:40 PM.
Roll Call: Lundquist, Crombie, Michels, Grace, Moris, Novak
Minutes: Motion by Novak to approve the minutes of March 27, 1978.
Seconded by Michels. Motion carried 6-0
Les Borst: Canceled
Chairman Grace reviewed letters received from the County Office and VBWS.
Hearing: W. J. McCarthy — Application for. rezoning W. 2640' of the N.
1000' of NW * of Section 2, for auto dealership. Hearing date for
this request is set for June 13, 1978 at 8 PM
Designation of City Parks: Motion by Lundquist that the PZO recommends to
the City Council, that they recommend to the Park Commission that
Lake Elmo City Parks be marked and fenced, as per previous Park
Board discussion, Seconded by Novak. Motion carried 6-0
This discussion should be found in previous Park Board minutes,
regarding fencing of park; in 1975.
James Hansen: Subdivision of Outlet A in DeMontreville Iiighlands
This request is for the subdivision of land desired by the DNR.
A Public Hearing has been set for June 13, 1978, at 9 PM.
Tom Brockman: .Moving garage (17x23) from Granada Street, Oakdale, to 8390 39th
Street, Lake Elmo.
In order for Mr. Brockman to move this structure he will need a
variance, since the structure is over 10 years old. It was suggested
Mr. Brockman have .John Mueller inspect it first, thamdecide whether
he wishes to apply for the variance.
Mrs. Sol (Helen Miller) Fisher: Application for Special Use Permit for
Private Hobby Dog Kennel,
Mrs. Fisher brought in releases from her surrounding neighbors
stating they are not opposed to her operation. Additional releases
will have to be obtained from additional property owners, who are
within 350' of the Fisher property, If all the releases are ob—
tained no public hearing will have to be held.
The Fishers' are requested to return behre the PZO on May 22, 1978,
at 7:45 PM , with the additional releases.
Zoning Ordinance: A special meeting on the Zoning ordinance will be held
May 30, 1978 at 7 PM. If the agenda for May 22, 1978 is light,
there will also be a Zoning meeting.
Adjournment: 9:30 PM.
