Meeting Minutes
Monday, August 14, 2000
Chairman Armstrong called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
3800 Laverne Avenue North, Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Present: Commissioners Berg, Brass, Helwig,
Mandel, Ptacek, Sedro, Sessing and Taylor. Absent: Commissioner Herber. Also present: Planner
Dillerud.
1. Agenda
M/S/P Helwig/Berg - to approve the agenda, as presented.
(Motion Passed 7-0). (Sedro/Taylor arrived after this vote).
2. Minutes
M/S/P Brass/Helwig -to approve the minutes from the July 24, 2000 meeting, as amended.
(Motion Passed 7-0-2). Abstain: Mandel, Sessing.
3. Discussion: Terms/Definitions - Agricultural Zone Amendment; Low Impact Use
Planner Dillerud reviewed the proposed Section 150 definitions related to Low Impact Agricultural
Use for 1) Small Engine Repair, 2) Agricultural Museums, and, 3) Nature Farms.
'The Commissioners discussed the three definitions, making one recommendation, as follows:
M/S/P Armstrong/Mandel - to recommend adoption of the proposed Section 150
Definitions Related to Low Impact Agricultural Use for Small Engine Repair, Agricultural
Museums, and Nature Farms; amending Small Engine Repair - increasing the horsepower
for internal combustion engines from 15 to 24.
(Motion Passed 9-0).

5. Adjourn - Chairman Armstrong adjourned the meeting at 7:20 p.m.
