records. The employee will have 14 days to respond to <br />this recall notice before recall rights to the position <br />are waived. <br />D. The most senior employee with the minimum qualifications <br />for an open position will receive first choice of whether or <br />not to take that position. <br />ARTICLE 7: DISCIPLINE <br />A. The EMPLOYER will discipline employees only for just cause. <br />The employer will follow the principle of progressive <br />discipline wherever practicable. <br />B. Discipline, when administered, will be in one or more of the <br />following forms and normally in the following order: <br />1. Oral Reprimand <br />2. Written Reprimand <br />3. Suspension <br />4. Discharge or disciplinary demotion. <br />C. If the EMPLOYER has reason to reprimand any employee, it <br />shall normally not be done in the presence of other <br />employees or the public. <br />D. Written reprimands, disciplinary suspensions, disciplinary <br />demotions or discharge of permanent employees may be <br />appealed up to and through .the arbitration step of the <br />grievance procedure contained in this AGREEMENT. The <br />employer will notify the union promptly of all such <br />disciplinary actions. <br />E. Investigations, which do not result in disciplinary actions, <br />shall not be entered into the employee's personnel records. <br />A written record of all disciplinary actions shall be <br />entered into the employee's personnel record. All <br />disciplinary entries in the personnel office record shall <br />normally state the corrective action expected of the <br />employee. <br />E.1 An employee who is reprimanded in writing, <br />suspended, demoted for disciplinary reasons, or <br />discharged shall be furnished with a copy of notice of <br />such disciplinary action. <br />E.2 Employees shall have access to information <br />contained in their personnel records in accordance with <br />the provisions of the Data Practices Act, as mentioned. <br />8 <br />
