Source controls are being implemented at our workplaces at all times. <br />Personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, and disinfecting wipes are available to all <br />employees to take as needed. They can be found in the council chambers and around the building. <br />Hand sanitizer and washing stations are available throughout the building. <br />Workers and visitors are instructed to cover their mouth and nose with their sleeve or a tissue when <br />coughing or sneezing, and to avoid touching their face, particularly their mouth, nose and eyes, with <br />their hands. Workers and visitors are expected to dispose of tissues in trash receptacles, and wash or <br />sanitize their hands immediately afterward. <br />Workplace building and ventilation protocol <br />Operation of the building in which the workplace is located, includes necessary sanitation, assessment <br />and maintenance of building systems including water, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. <br />Employees are encouraged to keep doors and windows open when the heating and cooling systems are <br />not running to allow for the maximum amount of fresh air to be brought into the workplace. <br />Workplace cleaning and disinfection protocol <br />Staff are tasked with cleaning their personal workspaces and city vehicles they drive. Disinfecting sprays <br />and wipes are available in the building. Public works staff clean public areas. If an employee goes home <br />sick, their area will be disinfected with the approved sprays and wipes. <br />Appropriate and effective cleaning and disinfectant supplies have been purchased and are available for <br />use in accordance with product labels, safety data sheets and manufacturer specifications, and are being <br />used with required personal protective equipment for the product. <br />Face Coverings <br />As of May 7, 2021, per the Governor's Executive Order, people in Minnesota are not required to wear a <br />face covering in most public outdoor spaces and indoor businesses. As the rules are expected to <br />continue changing, the City adopts the guidance of the CDC and the State of Minnesota with an <br />emphasis on proper protocols such as: <br />• Washing hands <br />• Staying home when sick <br />• Getting vaccinated <br />• Testing when symptoms are present <br />• Maintaining separate work spaces <br />Drop-off, pick-up and delivery practices and protocol <br />USPS, Fedex, and UPS drop offs will continue to happen at the front counter behind the installed <br />barriers. <br />
