M L OftmOldn 'ale Farmers Market in the Park d U C CI Thursdays: July 17,, August 21,, and September 18, 2014 4:00 p.m,, — 7:00 p.m. -M, MI=# F -I 111,1111 2M Market will be held at Lauderdale City Hall if it is raining (1891 Walnut Street, Lauderdale MN 55113). Vendors are responsible for providing tables, canopies, and other items needed for display. Tents and canopies must be weighted down. No stakes may be pounded into the tarmac. All displays must be neat and tasteful. • The general cleanliness of the Market area is everyone's responsibility. All vendors must keep their area neat while selling and make certain that the area is clean before leaving. • All Market vendors should represent themselves in an appropriate manner, dress, and state of cleanliness. Shirts and shoes must be worn. • All vendors must agree to abide by fair business practices. • Any vendor who the Market or city staff feel is not complying with these rules may be asked to leave. The vendor, in turn, may petition to be re -accepted to the Market, if approved. • The Lauderdale Farmers Market does not set prices but discouragesthe "dumping" of product at very low prices. During the July event, vendors can drive to their sales location for set up from 3: 00 p. m. to 3:30p.m. Due to the concert, vendors will need to carry their items back to their vehicles. Space will be assigned by Market staff. Vendors must remove all trash from the market area by 7:30 p.m. This includes produce debris, bags, and boxes from their sales. Trash cans are provided for incidental trash only. Permits, ficenses, taxes, and insurance • All permits and licenses required by the City of Lauderdale, Ramsey County, the State of Minnesota, or the Federal Government are the sole responsibility of the vendors. • Any required sales tax collections and remittances are the sole responsibility of the vendors. • The City of Lauderdale is not liable for any injury, theft, or damage to either the buyer or seller, or their property, arising out of or pertaining to preparation for or participation in the Lauderdale Farmers Market; whether such injury, theft, or damage occurred prior, during, or after the Lauderdale Farmers Market, seller further agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the City of Lauderdale harmless for and against any claims against the City. • All vendors are encouraged to carry their own general liability and product liability insurance, as the City does not provide this coverage.
