Staff has conducted research on cop- <br />iers which will meet the needs of the City. This research consisted of demonstrations of six <br />different brands of copiers, sales representatives response to a city checklist of copying <br />needs, ease of use, compatibility with Laserfiche, and an assessment of formal copier lease <br />proposals. <br />Staff determined the best copier fit for the City from three proposals. Those sales teams <br />were Metro Sales (Ricoh copier) and DTS and Crabtree representing Sharp Copier products. <br />Staff found the Metro Sales product, Ricoh Aficio MP C3503 the preferred copier due to <br />cost, usability, and compatibility with Laserfiche. <br />The cost of the 60 -month lease will be $149.00/month base fee and .0105 per black and <br />white copy and .06 per color copy. These lease figures will be a slight reduction from the <br />monthly fees the City is paying for the current Konica Minolta copier lease. <br />1. To enter into a lease agreement with Metro Sales for the Ricoh Copier. <br />2. To continue researching options for a different copier. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />By approving the Consent Agenda, the Council directs staff to enter into a 60 -month lease <br />agreement with Metro Sales for the Ricoh Aficio MP C3503 Copier. <br />0 <br />COUNCIL ACTION. <br />
