Call to Order
Mayor Gaasch called the Emergency City Council meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.
Roll Call
Councilors present: Andi Moffatt, Jeff Dains, Kelly Dolphin, and Mayor Mary Gaasch.
Councilor absent: Roxanne Grove.
Staff present: Heather Butkowski, City Administrator; Jim Bownik, Assistant to the City
Administrator; and Miles Cline, Deputy City Clerk.
Mayor Gaasch started by reading a statement by the St. Anthony Police Chief, Jon Mangseth,
condemning the actions of the Minneapolis Police Department officers involved in the death of
George Floyd.
Discussion/Action Item
A. A Resolution to Extend Period of Local Emergency and Extending Curfew
Mayor Gaasch stated that there was only one item for discussion on the agenda. Due to the
continued unrest and the City's proximity to the unrest, the police department advised that the
City Council should renew the emergency declaration and extend the curfew.
Councilor Moffatt made a motion to adopt Resolution 060120A — A Resolution to Extend Period
of Local Emergency and Extending Curfew. This was seconded by Councilor Dains and carried
unanimously on a roll call vote.
Adj ournment
Councilor Dains moved and seconded by Councilor Dolphin to adjourn the meeting at 4:10 p.m.
Motion carried unanimously on a roll call vote.
