HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/25/2011LAUDERDALE CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Lauderdale City Hall 1891 Walnut Street Lauderdale, MN 55113 Page 1 of 2 October 25, 2011 Mayor Dains called the City Council meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. Councilors present: Mary Gaasch, Roxanne Grove, Denise Hawkinson, Lara Mac Lean, and Mayor Jeff Dains. Staff present: Heather Butkowski, City Administrator; Jim Bownik, Assistant to the City Administrator; Kevin Kelly, Deputy City Clerk. Mayor Dains asked for changes to the meeting agenda. There being none, Councilor Mac Lean moved to approve the agenda. Councilor Gaasch seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Councilor Mac Lean moved to approve the October 11, 2011, City Council meeting minutes. Councilor Hawkinson seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Councilor Mac Lean moved approval of the claims totaling $22,401.13. Councilor Gaasch seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Councilor Hawkinson moved the consent agenda approving the PCIC meeting minutes and the Roseville Youth Baseball Donation for a concrete pad at the Baseball Field at Community Park. Councilor Mac Lean seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Bownik presented on the 2011 Halloween Party to be held on Monday, October 31 from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Bownik reported there will be hot dogs, popcorn and other snacks including candy. There also will be a maze, and new this year, a slide show of photos from previous Halloween parties. Bownik stated residents can volunteer with set up on Sunday afternoon from noon to 3:00 p.m. and during the party. Residents still have time to donate money and candy at City Hall. Mayor Dains explained the Council was moving into the work session. Work sessions are a continuation of the meetings but not aired on community television. The Mayor asked if anyone present wished to address the Council. No one addressed the Council. There being no further business on the council agenda, Councilor Hawkinson moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilor Mac Lean seconded the motion and it carried.
