<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Economic Development Authority <br />directs Staff to: <br /> <br />1.) Begin administrative steps towards the potential purchase of the BelRae Ballroom <br />located at 5394 Edgcwood Drive, Mounds View, Minnesota by the City of Mounds View <br />Economic Development Authority for use as a community center, including at least the <br />following steps: preparation of a feasibility study which outlines potential uses, costs and <br />revenue projections; an inspection report; an appraisal; review of business finances and a <br />legal opinion on the use of excess tax increment financing funds or other identified <br />funding sources; and <br /> <br />2.) Begin talks with the School District 621 regarding possible legal arrangements <br />concerning the school district's use of space and joint programs in the BelRae Ballroom; <br />and <br /> <br />3.) Begin talks with other social service deliverers such as NOlihwest Youth & <br />Family Services and the Ramsey County Department of Public Health for the purpose of <br />discussing potential contract arrangements to provide local residents with services <br />through satellite offices at the BelRae Ballroom; and <br /> <br />4.) Prepare a proposal for EDA review at a regular meeting for the purchase of the <br />BelRae Ballroom building, lot, furnishings and fixtures at a not to exceed price of <br />$750.000.00, excluding administrative costs, with the City of Mounds View Economic <br />Development Authority taking possession on a mutually agreed upon date on or about <br />July 1. 1996 for use as a Community Ccnter. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Mounds View Economic Development <br />Authority on this 12th day of February, 1996. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hankner moved the adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution, which motion was duly seconded by Commissioner Quick , and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Linke, Councilmembers Trude, Blanchard, Quick and Hankner. <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />~ President <br /> <br />~~I~~)1 <br />. c ive Director <br />
