<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 97-EDA-70 <br /> <br />CIlY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNlY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEMBER TO FILL <br />VACANCY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission acts as an advisory <br />commission to the Economic Development Authority on matters that relate to fostering a positive <br />economic climate, encouraging economic development, and enhancing the tax base of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission is composed of three business <br />representatives and four residents, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, per Chapter 408.06, subdivision 1 of the Mounds View Municipal Code <br />entitled Economic Development Commission, Termination of Appointment, requires the "Authority <br />President, with approval of a majority of the Authority Board of Commissioners, shall appoint a new <br />member from applications received for the unfulfilled portion of a term that has been terminated", and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, resident Bev Tarhark has resigned prior to the expiration of her term <br />dated December 31, 1998, and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, resident Thomas Field completed an application to fill the vacancy for a <br />resident representative on the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development <br />Authority of the City of Mounds View hereby appoints Thomas Field to the Economic Development <br />Commission with term expiring December 31, 1998. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />. <br />
