<br />5"' f) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-EDA-107 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission acts as an advisory <br />commission to the Economic Development Authority on matters that relate to fostering <br />a positive economic climate, encouraging economic development, and enhancing the <br />tax base of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission is composed of three <br />business representatives and four residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 408.06, subdivision 1 of the Mounds View Code, entitled <br />Economic Development Commission. Termination of Appointment. provides that "the <br />Authority President, with the approval of the Authority Board of Commissioners, shall <br />appoint a new member from applications received for the unfulfilled portion of a term <br />that has been terminated"; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, business representative Ron Schmidt has resigned prior to the end <br />of a term that would otherwise end on December 31, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, business representative Brian Sjoberg has resigned prior to the end <br />of a term that would otherwise end on December 31, 2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jerold A. Kahn, Julie Ann Olsen and others have applied to fill the <br />two vacancies for business representatives on the Economic Development <br />Commission; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development <br />Authority of the City of Mounds View hereby appoints Jerold A.
