<br />AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF MOUNDS VIEW BY'
<br />REVISING CHAP'l'ER 70.01, "MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM,.
<br />APPLICATIONS, PERMITS AND FEESIt

<br />The Council of the City of Mounds View docs herehy ordain:

<br />SECTION I. Chapter 70,01 (2) shall be amended to read as foJ1ows:
<br />

<br />(2) Before proceeding wlLh the constr~ction, enlargement,
<br />'alteration, or r~pair of any water line connecting the municipal
<br />water system to any house or building, the owner or his agent
<br />shal1..iulfi11 the following requirements:
<br />
<br />',(a) Obtain from the Municipality a water connection .. ....'
<br />pe~~it, the fee for which shall be $10.00. The
<br />plumbing inspector shall examine all applications for
<br />water connections before construction. After the
<br />construction, enlargement or alteration is complete,
<br />the plumbing inspector shall be notified for the final
<br />inspection. It shall be unl~wful to cover any connecting
<br />line until an inspection has been made and such connection
<br />and the work incident thereb.> hdS been approved by the
<br />Municipality.

<br />(b) Whenever a new water connection is constructed, the
<br />owner shall pay to the Municipality a trunk, source and
<br />storage contribution of $200.00 per residential unit
<br />or ~n the case of other than Lt::::i,Lut::uLlcilly zOil€d property
<br />$1,600.00 per ctcr~. Such contributions shall be reserved
<br />solely for the purpose of funding construction, replacement,
<br />modification or major mainten~nce of water trunk lines,
<br />wells, towers or reservoirs and the debt service thereon
<br />as specifically authorized by the City Council.
