<br />!~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 562 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON NEW <br />OR USED CAR LOTS AND MOTOR VEHICLE SALES <br />BUSINESSES WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />The Council of the city of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />SECTION I. PURPOSE AND INTENT At the direction of the City <br />Council, the Mounds View Planning Commission is in the process of <br />reviewing the requirements for establishment of new or used car <br />lots and motor vehicle sales businesses within the City. The <br />Planning Commission has reviewed Chapters 40, 59 and 109 of the <br />City Code and has determined that there is a need for further <br />review and possible amendment of the existing regulations <br />pertaining to the operation of such businesses within the City. On <br />January 10, 1994, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 533 which <br />placed a moratorium on new or used car lots and motor vehicle sales <br />businesses within the City of Mounds View pending completion of he <br />Planning commission study. The Planning Commission has found that <br />additional time is necessary for completion of their review and <br />study of appropriate land use controls and regulations pertaining <br />to new or used car lots and motor vehicle sales businesses within <br />the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />SECTION II. REESTABLISHMENT OF MORATORIUM Pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes 462.355, Subdivision 4, this interim ordinance hereby <br />reestablishes the force and effect of Ordinance No. 533 which <br />placed a moratorium on new or used car lots and motor vehicle sales <br />businesses within the City of Mounds View consistent with the <br />provisions of Ordinance No. 533 in order to allow the City adequate <br />time to complete the review and amendment of the Mounds View <br />Municipal Code for the purpose of protecting the planning process <br />and the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Mounds View. <br />This Ordinance shall reestablish Ordinance No. 533 for a period of <br />six (6) months. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance is effective 30 days <br />after its publication <br /> <br />Read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 8th <br />day of May, 1995. <br /> <br />Read and passed by the City Council of the city of Mounds View <br />this 22nd day of May, 1995. <br />
