<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />If any room in a building has a sloping ceiling, the prescribed ceiling height for the room <br />is required in only one-half (12) the area thereof. No portions of the room measuring less <br />than five feet (5') from the finished floor to the finished ceiling shall be included in any <br />computation of the minimum area thereof. <br /> <br />If any room has a furred ceiling, the prescribed ceiling height is required in two-thirds <br />(2/3) the area thereof, but in no case shall the height of the furred ceiling be less than <br />seven feet (7'). <br /> <br />b. Floor Area: Dwelling units and rooming units shall have at least one (1) room which <br />shall have notless than one hundred twenty (120) square feet of floor area. Other <br />habitable rooms, except kitchens, shall have an area of not less than seventy (70) square <br />feet. Where more than two (2) persons occupy a room for sleeping purposes, the required <br />floor area shall be increased at the rate of fifty (50) square feet for each occupant. <br /> <br />Sec. 3. Section 1005.12, subdivision 2 of the Mounds View City Code is amended by <br />adding a new subparagraph to read: <br /> <br />read: <br /> <br />read: <br /> <br />d. The certificate shall state that the structure has been inspected and is in compliance <br />with the requirements of this Chapter. <br /> <br />Sec. 4. Section 1005.12, subdivision 4 of the Mounds View City Code is amended to <br /> <br />Subd.4. <br /> <br />Annual Renewal of Registration: The owner of a multiple dwelling or his <br />agent shall annually apply for a renewal of the certificate of registration on <br />or before September March 30. Renewal of the registration is contingent <br />upon compliance of this Chapter. <br /> <br />Sec. 5. Section 1005.12, subdivision 5 of the Mounds View City Code is amended to <br /> <br />Subd.5. <br /> <br />Transfer of Registration: A certificate of registration for the unexpired <br />portion of the licensed term is transferrable, for a fee of fifteen dollars <br />($15), to any person who has actually acquired legal ownership of a <br />registered building for the unexpired portion of the term. for -Nhich is \-vag <br />issued or reissued; provided, that the application to trangfer such <br />registration is filed -Nith the lluilding Inspection Department prior to <br />actual change of legal o-,J;fiership. It is the responsibility of the current <br />owner to notify the purchaser that a transfer must be filed with the <br />Building Inspection Department immediately upon acquiring legal <br />ownership. The license shall terminate upon failure to apply for its <br />transfer within 30 days following the prior to change oflegal ownership. <br /> <br />Sec. 6.
