<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 588 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1124 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW ZONING <br />CODE RELATING TO THE LOCATION AND DESIGN OF <br />WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITIES <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: Section 1124.01 of the Mounds View Zoning Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />1124.01: AUmORITY. This Section is adopted pursuant to the authOIity glanted to the <br />City in :Minnesota. Statutes, Section 462.335, Subdivision 4, entitled "Interim Ordinance." <br />PURPOSE: The zoning regulation of wireless telecommunications facilities is <br />intended to provide for the appropriate location. development and installation of <br />telecommunications towers and antennae within the City of Mounds View ("City"). The <br />provisions of this Code are intended to protect the health. safety and aesthetic concerns of the <br />community by minimizing the adverse visual effects of towers and antennae through careful <br />design. siting and screening: by avoiding potential damage from tower failure to adiacent <br />properties through structural standards and setback requirements: and by maximizing the use of <br />existing towers. structures or buildings to accommodate new telecommunications antennae in the <br />City. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: Section 1124.02 of the Mounds View Zoning Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />1124.02: PURPOSE. The City of~{-ounds View ("City") CUll ently does not I egulate <br />wireless tlansmission and reception facilities tluough its Zoning Code.
