<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 609 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />County of Ramsey <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />An Ordinance authorizing the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br />to set water rates and surcharges effective with the January 1998 billings <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />SECTION I. <br />The Mounds View City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to <br />insure sufficient funding to cover operations and debt service in the Water Fund. <br /> <br />SECTION II. <br />The Finance Director shall quarterly prepare a bill based on the rates established for each <br />property class by Council and in accordance with existing Mounds View policy. Water <br />rates shall be set at $1.40/1000 gallons water sold. <br /> <br />A quarterly meter surcharge rate shall be set based on meter size as follows: <br />Residential Meters <br />5/8" to 1" <br />Commercial Meters <br />1 inch <br />1 ~ inch <br />2 inch <br />3 inch <br />4 inch <br /> <br />$ 3.00 <br /> <br />$ 3.60 <br />$ 6.00 <br />$ 7.40 <br />$19.00 <br />$31.50 <br /> <br />Non-compliance to participate, including <br />manual billing <br /> <br />$25.00/ quarter <br /> <br />Customer's option for radio read and <br />onetime capital outlay charge <br /> <br />$15 / quarter plus <br />$27.00 one time capital charge <br /> <br />SECTION III. <br />This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its publication, and be <br />retroactive to any billing on or after January 1, 1998. <br /> <br />Introduced and read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View on December 15, 1997. <br />
