<br />( e) Operating furniture.. All tables, chairs, furniture, or area on which a patron receives a
<br />tattoo, any body piercing, body branding, body scarification or body painting shall be covered
<br />by single-service disposable paper or clean linens, or in the alternative, the table, chair, or
<br />furniture on which the patron receives a tattoo, body piercing, body scarring, body branding or
<br />body painting shall be impervious to moisture and shall be properly sanitized after each tattoo,
<br />body piercing, body branding, body scarring or body painting.
<br />
<br />(:f) Towels. Every specialist shall provide single-service towels or wipes for each customer or
<br />person and such towels or wipes shall be stored and disposed of in an acceptable manner.
<br />
<br />(g) Coverings: The specialist shall require that the person who is receiving the tattoo, piercing,
<br />branding, scarring or painting will at all times have that person's breasts, buttocks, anus and
<br />genitaIs covered with a non-transparent covering. The specialist may lift the covering to expose
<br />the person's breasts, buttocks, anus or genitals to the Iimited extent necessary to perform the
<br />tattooing, body piercing, body scarring, body painting or body branding requested. The
<br />specialist shall ensure that no other person may view the exposed body part.
<br />
<br />(h) Garments of specialist: The specialist performing tattoo, branding, piercing, scarring or
<br />painting services shall be fully clothed so as to have the specialist's breasts, buttocks, anus and
<br />genitals covered with a non-transparent material or clothing. Every specialist shall wear clean
<br />garments when engaged in the practice of tattooing, body piercing, body branding, body scarring
<br />or body painting. If garments are contaminated with blood or body fluids, such garment shall be
<br />removed, changed, and/or discarded or cleaned by dry cleaning methods.
<br />
<br />(i) Pigments. Pigments used in tattooing shall be sterile and free from bacteria and noxious
<br />agents and substances including mercury. The pigments used from stock solutions for each
<br />customer shall be placed in a single-service receptacle, and such receptacle and remaining
<br />solution shall be discarded after use on each customer.
<br />
<br />(j) Minimum floor space. There shall not be less than 250 square feet of floor space at the
<br />place where the practice of tattooing, body piercing, body scarring, body branding or body
<br />painting is conducted, and said place shall be well lit and ventilated.
<br />
<br />(k) Influence of alcohol and drugs, No person shall practice tattooing, body piercing, body
<br />branding, body scarring or body painting while under the influence of alcoholic beverages or
<br />illicit drugs, No customer shall be tattooed, pierced, scarred, branded or painted while under
<br />the influence of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs.
<br />
<br />(1) Written instructions. The operator shall provide the person tattooed, scarred, pierced,
<br />painted or branded with printed instructions on the approved care of the skin during the healing
<br />process.
<br />
<br />(m) Living quarters. No place licensed as a tattoo, body piercing, body branding, body scarring
<br />or body painting establishment shall be used or occupied as living or sleeping quarters.
