ORDINANCE NO. 672 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ,COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE 'OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ' 1106.03, SUBDIVISION 3, OF THE MOUNDS VIEW ZONING CODE, PERTAINING TO HOME-BASED BUSINESSES WITHIN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 1106, Section 1106.03, Subl:tivision 3 of the Mounds View Zoning Code is hereby amended with addi- tions underlined and deleti9ns struck out to read as follows: Subd. 3. Home Occupations: The reg- ulation of home occupations within r~iden- tial structures is intended to- ensure Insure that the occupational use is clearly accesso- -ry or Secondary to the principal dwe!'ing ~ and that compatibility with surrounding' resI- dential uses is maintained. No home occu- pation shall be allowed which: a. Involves employees other than persons residing on the premises; b. Involves alteration or construction fea- tures not customarily found in dwellings; , c. Has an exterior display or .sign in excess of four one square feet foot. Such sign, for identification purposes only, shall be located either on the principal structure structured or garage, or mounted on the property within five' (5) feet of a street right of way, .so long as the sign or parts thereof do not extend beyond the property's borders; Any sign existing prior to December 29, 1972, shall not be enlarged but may be con- . - tinued at the size and location upon such date except as hereinafter specified or sub- ' sequently amended. Anv sign erected after DeCember29, 1972, but prior to the effective date hereof shall come into comp6ance here- with by April 1, 1983; . d; InVOlves exterior storage of eqUipment or matenals; e. Generates anyon-street parking. All vehicles associated with a home occupation shall be parked off-Street and in complianCe with the City's parking requirements Generates more than two (2) motor vehicles at a time for either on- or off-street parking; f. Results in violation of the ProVisions of Chapter 607 604, Nuisances, of the Municipal Code; and , g. Involves activity visible from.the pUblic streets. SECTION 2. This ordinanCe shall go into effect thirty (30) days after it has been pub- lished in the official City newspaper.
