. . . Subd. 10. Deadbolt Locks: All exit doors leading to public areas or outside from all dwelling units and .r:.q~llJ:i!!~j.!.~hotel units shall be provided with deadbolt locks. At least one deadbolt lock per door must be capable of being locked from the exterior of said unit. For the purpose of this subdivision, a "deadbolt lock" is a locking bolt which, when in the locked position, can only be moved positively by turning a knob, ~ or sliding bolt. Deadbolt locks having a bolt moved by turning a key shall be of the five pin tumbler type or an equivalent approved by the Building InspecteF. Lock throw shall not be less than three-fourths inch (314"). Locks shall meet the requirements of the Uniform Building Code and shall be installed within fifty inches (50") of the floor.
