The )layor is hereby empowered tu appoint deputy fire marshals and may <br /> <br />delegate to said deputies such powers as are necessary to carry out the function <br /> <br />. of the of!ica of Village Fire Marshal. Duties of Village Fire Marshal. The Village Fire Marshal <br /> <br />.:': ,;;; <br /> <br />or his deputies shall investigate, or cause to be investigated, the cauee, origin, <br /> <br />and circumsta.r.ces of each fire occurring in the Village by which property has been <br /> <br />destroyed or dam~ged when the damage exceeds $25.00, except that all tires o.f <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />unknown or1g~n shall be reported, and sh~ll esvecially make invest.i.gations as to <br /> <br />wheth~r the fire was the re~ult of carelessness, accident or design. Said <br /> <br />, investigation:8 shall be bQgiJIl within two days o! the occurrence of the fire. <br /> <br />The Village Fire Marshal shall forthwith notity the State Fire <br /> <br />Marshal and s1:1all , within onE: week of the O(,cuncuce of the fire, furnish to tha <br /> <br />State Fire Marshl11 a written sta.telOent of all the facts relating to the cause and <br /> <br />origin of. the fire and such information as ;llay be called for :"y the blanks furnished <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />by tbe S ta to n ro Marshal. <br /> <br />The Vllla"e Fire Marshal shall designate a deputy fire lIlarshal to <br /> <br />issue such pe,rmits as are required under Wounds View Ordinance No. 71, Section 3. <br />
