ORDINANCE NO. 493 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 96 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED, "POLICE AND FIRE ALARMS" <br /> The City Council of the City of Mounds View does <br /> hereby ordain: <br /> SECTION I. <br /> 96.01 Definitions <br /> Subdivision 1. ALARMS - Any mechanical functioning or <br /> electronic device which directly or indirectly summons Police or <br /> Fire personnel. <br /> Subdivision 2. FALSE ALARMS - Any alarm message or signal that <br /> summons Police or Fire personnel to a location where no fire, <br /> . smoke, criminal activity or other emergency exists. This <br /> definition does not include alarms caused by weather or other <br /> conditions deemed to be beyond the control of the alarm "! <br /> manufacturer, installer or owner. <br /> Subdivision 3. ALARM USER - The person, firm partnership, <br /> association, corporation, company or organization of any kind upon <br /> whose premises an alarm or alarm system is installed, operated or <br /> maintained. In the case of residential alarms, alarm user shall <br /> mean the owner, resident, tenant or lessee of the residence. <br /> Subdivision 4. CITY - Means the City of Mounds View <br /> 96.02 FALSE ALARM FEES <br /> Subdivision 1. - A fee shall be charged by the City to any <br /> alarm user for a third and any subsequent false alarm response <br /> within a 12-month time period. The alarm user will be responsible <br /> for payment of the fee. <br /> Subdivision 2. - The following are established fees for false <br /> alarms: <br /> 1. Fire Alarms <br /> (a) For the third false fire alarm in a 12-month period <br /> . - two-hundred ($200.00) dollars <br />
