ORDINANCE NO. 720 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE BY <br />DELETING CHAPTER 1118 PERTAINING TO THE PF, PUBLIC FACILITIES <br />DISTRICT, AND REZONING ALL PF DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney has recommended review of the PF (Public <br />Facilities District) zoning district designation in the Mounds View City Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission have reviewed the PF <br />(Public Facilities District) zoning district designation in the Mounds View City Code; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council and Planning Commission have <br />• become aware of a situation concerning parcels zoned PF (Public Facilities District) <br />which necessitates a comprehensive rezoning action; and <br />WHEREAS, only parcels owned by the City of Mounds View are zoned Public <br />Facilities, as stated in Section 1118.02 (Public Facilities Permitted Uses) of the Mounds <br />View City Code; and <br />WHEREAS, according to City Code Section 1118.02, only parcels owned by the <br />City of Mounds View maybe zoned PF; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been brought to the City's attention that the City's current <br />practice of zoning parcels based on land ownership relative to the PF Zoning district is <br />not consistent with conventional zoning practices; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney has suggested that the City rezone City-owned <br />parcels based upon land use rather than based upon parcel ownership; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends rezoning City-owned parcels <br />to zoning designations consistent with the following table and as shown on the map <br />attached as Exhibit A; and <br />• <br />
