ORDINANCE NO. 724 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING WATER RATES AND SURCHARGES <br />FOR SERVICE IN 2004 <br />The City Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br />SECTION L <br />The Mounds View City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to <br />insure sufficient funding to cover operations and debt service in the Water Utility Fund. <br />SECTION II. <br />The Finance Department shall quarterly prepare a bill based upon rates as established <br />below for each property class and in accordance with existing Mounds View policies. <br />WATER RATES shall be set at $1.50 per 1,000 gallons of water sold. <br />QUARTERLY METER SURCHARGES: <br />Residential meters <br />5/8" to 1" $3.00 <br />Commercial meters <br />1 inch $3.60 <br />1 % inch $6.00 <br />2 inch $7.40 <br />3 inch $19.00 <br />4 inch $31.50 <br />Non-compliance to participate, including manual billing <br />$25.00 per quarter <br />MINNESOTA SAFE WATER TESTING FEE shall be $1.43 per quarter. <br />WATER SERVICE LINE REPAIR FEE shall be $4.00 per quarter. <br />SECTION III. <br />This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after the date of its publication, and shall be <br />retroactive to billing for service provided from January 1, 2004 onward. <br />Read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this St" day of December, 2003. <br />Read and passed by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 26th day of <br />January, 2004. <br />• <br />
