RESOLUTION 7420 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A <br />PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CONSULTANT SELECTION <br />FOR AREA C OF THE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, on March 12, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution 7045 <br />establishing the Streets and Utilities Task Force; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 22, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution <br />7176 approving the Street and Utility Improvement Program based on the <br />recommendations of the Streets and Utilities Task Force; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 22, 2008 the City Council adopted Resolution <br />7339 authorizing preliminary survey activities for Area C of the Street and Utility <br />Improvement Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the next step in the public improvement process for Area C is <br />the preparation of a preliminary feasibility report; and <br />WHEREAS, there are a number of engineering consultants that have a <br />contract with the City and from whom services could be obtained; and <br />WHEREAS, Bonestroo is the consultant who performed the preliminary <br />survey activities for Area C; and <br />WHEREAS, Bonestroo is the consultant who performed the engineering <br />services for the 2009-2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project, which is Area A of <br />the overall Street and Utility Improvement Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />It is hereby authorized that the preliminary feasibility report for Area C of <br />the Street and Utility Improvement Program be prepared. Said report shall <br />include an analysis as to whether the proposed improvements are <br />necessary, cost effective, and feasible. <br />2. The services of the consulting firm of Bonestroo shall be retained to assist <br />in the preparation of the preliminary feasibility report and other aspects of <br />this project, as directed by the City Council. <br />
