RESOLUTION 7420 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CONSULTANT SELECTION FOR AREA C OF THE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM WHEREAS, on March 12, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution 7045 establishing the Streets and Utilities Task Force; and WHEREAS, on October 22, 2007 the City Council adopted Resolution 7176 approving the Street and Utility Improvement Program based on the recommendations of the Streets and Utilities Task Force; and WHEREAS, on September 22, 2008 the City Council adopted Resolution 7339 authorizing preliminary survey activities for Area C of the Street and Utility Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the next step in the public improvement process for Area C is the preparation of a preliminary feasibility report; and WHEREAS, there are a number of engineering consultants that have a contract with the City and from whom services could be obtained; and WHEREAS, Bonestroo is the consultant who performed the preliminary survey activities for Area C; and WHEREAS, Bonestroo is the consultant who performed the engineering services for the 2009-2010 Street and Utility Improvement Project, which is Area A of the overall Street and Utility Improvement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: It is hereby authorized that the preliminary feasibility report for Area C of the Street and Utility Improvement Program be prepared. Said report shall include an analysis as to whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost effective, and feasible. 2. The services of the consulting firm of Bonestroo shall be retained to assist in the preparation of the preliminary feasibility report and other aspects of this project, as directed by the City Council.
