RESOLUTION 7440 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2009 SQUAD CAR PURCHASE <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement <br />schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the Police Department is properly equipped to <br />provide emergency response to its citizens, and ; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for <br />replacement of two squad cars to meet this need in 2009, and; <br />WHEREAS, the replacement cost of two squad cars was budgeted in 2009 at an <br />estimated cost of $23,000.00 each, plus equipment and set up, and; <br />WHEREAS, Elk River Ford was awarded the state bid for the 2009 Ford Crown <br />Victoria Police Interceptor Package at an approximate cost of $21,722.36 each; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Mounds View has indicated a need to <br />reduce Police Department spending in 2009, therefore to accomplish this only one squad <br />car is to be purchased in 2009. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of <br />Mounds View authorizes the purchase of one 2009 Ford Crown Victoria squad car under <br />the state bid at an approximate cost of $21,722.36 plus tax, registration, and any license <br />fees, and the sale of the one old squad car being replaced through the Admin MN State <br />Surplus Services auction. <br />Adopted this 13th day of April 2009. <br />Jo yor <br />ATTEST: ~~~~~ ~(%~~/ <br />James Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
