RESOLUTION 7479 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING NON-STANDARD STREET DESIGN RECOMMENDATIONS FOR <br />AREAS B AND C OF THE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, recommendations for roadway design standards were incorporated <br />into the Street and Utility Improvement Program and approved by the City Council on <br />October 22, 2007 through Resolution 7176; and <br />WHEREAS, a Streets and Utilities Committee was established through <br />Resolution 7223 on February 11, 2008 to oversee the implementation of the Street and <br />Utility Improvement Program, including advising and providing recommendations to the <br />City Council on design issues encountered during the Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Streets and Utilities Committee has reviewed non-standard <br />street design issues and options for Area B and C of the Street and Utility Improvement <br />Program and solicited public feedback through mailings and comments during <br />Committee meetings, including a public information meeting held on June 2, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, the Streets and Utility Committee adopted design options on June <br />15, 2009 for non-standard streets in Area B and C of the Street and Utility Improvement <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Street and Utility Committee recommendations for non-standard <br />street options in Area B and C of the Street and Utility Improvement Program were <br />presented to and discussed by the City Council during the July 6, 2009 work session. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />The width of Springview Lane will be reconstructed to the recommended <br />minimum standard of 24 feet measured from face-to-face of vertical curbing. <br />Options for accommodating vehicular turn-around movements should be <br />investigated during the design phase of the project. <br />2. No pedestrian or bicycle accommodations will be constructed on Knollwood <br />Drive between County Road H and County Road H2. <br />3. No pedestrian or bicycle accommodations will be constructed on Woodcrest <br />Drive between Knollwood Drive and Silver Lake Road. <br />4. The width of Irondale Road between County Road H and County Road H2 will <br />be reconstructed to the recommended standard of 28 feet measured from <br />face-to-face of vertical curbing. <br />
