Transmitted <br />herewith is a copy of the Bid Tabulation for your information and file. Copies will also be distributed to <br />each Bidder once the Project has been awarded. <br />There were a total of eight Bids. The foNowing summarizes the results of the Bids received: <br /> Contractor Tota/ Base Bid <br />Low Max Steininger, Inc. $653,350.31 <br />#2 Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $653,986.66 <br />#3 Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $689,776.53 <br />#4 Colt Construction Services, LLC $716,007.85 <br />#5 Frattalone Companies, Inc. $731,807.50 <br />#6 Sunram Construction, Inc. $736,363.96 <br />#7 Peterson Companies, Inc. $768,930.67 <br />#8 Veit & Company, Inc. $825,354.10 <br />The low Bidder on the Project was Max Steininger, Inc. with a Total Base Bid Amount of $653,350.31. <br />This compares favorably to the Engineer's Estimate of $880,000.00. These Bids have been reviewed and <br />found to be in order. <br />The Bids will be sent to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for review and certification <br />by the Civil Rights Office. In accordance with the requirements for use of federal aid funds on this <br />project, the City should not award the construction contract until MnDOT has certified the Bids. <br />Once MnDOT has notified the City that certification is complete and the project is ready to proceed, the <br />City can consider award of the construction contract. If the City Council wishes to award the Project to <br />the low Bidder, and assuming MnDOT certifies the low Bidder, then Max Steininger, Inc. should be <br />awarded the Project on the Total Base Bid Amount of $653,350.31. <br />St. Paul <br />St. Cloud <br />Rochester <br />Milwaukee <br />Chicago <br />
