RESOLUTION NO. 7508 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION TO EXPEND FUNDS AWARDED IN THE 2009 JUSTICE <br />ASSISTANCE RECOVERY GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the city of Mounds View Police Department was awarded funding <br />from the US Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance funding under the <br />Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program in the amount <br />of $21,299.00 for the purchase of in squad video cameras and installation of a third <br />camera for the city camera security system, and; <br />WHEREAS, the funding is now available as a reimbursement to the City after the <br />purchases have been made and paid by the City, and; <br />WHEREAS, the provisions of the grant allow for the purchase and installation of <br />two in squad video cameras, as detailed in a quote from Tactical Solutions Inc. and a <br />third city watch camera to be installed near Pine Wood Elementary School, by PCS <br />Technologies and; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does authorize expenditure of the grant funding up to the authorized amount of <br />$21,299.00 for the purchase and installation of two in squad video cameras from <br />Tactical Solutions Inc. at a price of $8,400 plus installation (approx $900), and for the <br />installation of a third camera for the city watch camera system by PCS Technologies <br />Inc. for the amount of $9968.42.
